I realised I've been MIA for quite a while both online and on my blog haha
my apologies, been busy with work during the day
and when i get home, the only thing I want to do is to relax
well, what's been happening of late...
there was a W480 vs W452 badminton tournament...at least it was supposed to be one until we just played for the fun of it XD
zu came along as well
waa..sure feels like old times during our sec school days when we would go play during the weekends XD

then we had our (or rather my) first cgm at Maple's house after the SOS bs
hehe for the first time in my 1 1/2 years in CHC, cgm was soooo near!! XD
hopefully, the upcoming one I can drive there
still, thank you to Maple who opened her house for us
pretty quiet but nice place I must say

oh yesh, how could I forget
our W331 reunion with Elyn to celebrate her birthday!
she didnt look like she changed much after so long haha
except for the fact she looks very stylish with her specs and much thinner XD
we had steamboat at bugis last thursday
it feels so long since we actually all sat down together and had time to have fun :)
unfortunately our good friend Christina was quarantined at home *smack forehead*
nair mind, we will all get out together again sometime soon =D

its been so long since i felt this way once again
and I thought friendship was both ways, not just one person making the effort to know the other all the time
it gets discouraging at times
I do care about you...in fact, too much at times
but this...this has to stop
Its getting too tough for me to handle
all the thoughts of you at night,

its not easy but i'm trusting it into the Lord's hands

transformers 2!!! man,i think no one would disagree if i said it was one of the best movies this year
the effects are pretty stunning for a movie
its one of those few movies that left a deep impression on me
anyway, the college part in the movie...*evil laughter*
a handful of curious teenagers + their raging hormones...you do the math XD
i've heard....about things about the college life in the US :P
*singing busted's song* "thats what i go to school for.." XD
haha i was just kidding around
i shall not spoil it for those who havent watched it yet but its a must see movie...debinitely

i was just checking out the videos on youtube and i think you gotta watch this haha

this one's gonna be a long post so bear with me
first up!! Josh's 21st!
we celebrated it on sunday night at jeremy's condo, backyard bbq style XD
sarah and i went there early to set the place up, blowing balloons, hanging up decorations, etc.
since there was no pump we had to blow the 20+ balloons ourselves
you shoulda seen our faces after we blown the balloons haha
our faces were so red!!! :P
thankfully, reinforcements (or rather without the 's') arrived :P

ta-da!!! our lovely christina arrived!!

but she did her cards first so aiya...nair mind XD
heyy...i just realized she went down quite a bit ar
perhaps the workout from the dance?? haha
speaking of the dance...oh shucks so sorry my dear,
i couldnt make it for the one tonight and i feel so bad about it =/
and speaking of going down...cindy said i grew thinner hahahaha XD
anyway back to it
His family also came all the way down from m'sia to celebrate with him too...awww
i didnt take much pictures because i ended up getting my hands dirty with charcoal and cooking the food
...as always, but its always better to give than take right? :)

its funny how our friendship started back in poly
in fact, he and i actually werent too close in the first year and even the first half of the second year
prolly because of our first lab assignment together
there were lots of misunderstandings then
and i have to admit i was also quite immature then along with the other guys
the other guys and i always thought he was kinda....crooked cause of his metrosexuality
ok josh i repent!!! dont whack me! XD
we were more of the 'hi,bye' kinda friends
but when the second half of year 2 started we started to grow closer through projects, fellowshipping, etc.
that was when he brought me to chc and i got saved....again
since then he has always been a big brother i looked up to :)
then came year 3...sheesh who could forget the days we reached school at 8am for lessons and stayed until 10+ or 11pm in school to do our fyp
then our favourite food for dinner at the SIM canteen,'auntie ar, wanton mee ji pao'
as the deadline drew nearer, we were staying later until we ended up doing till 4+am (at home of course XD)
i think during that time many friendships were really put to the test
it was either you make it or break it, not to mention that relationships that also ended
that was how huge the pressure was from all the competition
even after all that, i'm glad we still remained the best of friends

ok some people have been asking me about hannah, the gal you see in the tag area
she's a really good friend of mine, more like a sister haha =D
she and i go way back to pri school...pri 5 to be exact when we first became classmates
hmm..she was boyish in some areas but she's still a great gal in ways more than one XD
she always liked to play catching back in pri sch when we ran all over the school carpark with our other friends and were all sweaty after recess
what else...ahh yesh, she watched WWE also haha back then it was called WWF
and i think her favourite was the rock..."can you smeeellllll what the rock is cookin?" XD
not to mention she watches soccer too, die hard man-u fan
dun mind me talking about this han haha
dont let all this fool you, she's our pri and sec school 校花 if you will
very popular with the guys
how we got to know each other...i really think its God 's plan if you ask me
thing is a very close brudda of mine, zubin actually liked her a lot for quite long...a few years, cant really remember the exact number
and me on the other hand, had a crush on one of hannah's good friend for 8 years (0.o i know haha)
who is it? not important, she's a very spiritually strong woman now and happily attached too, i'm happy for her :)
so yeah, coincidental? the only reason i can think of is the one above :)

yesterday's service was a pretty good one haha
the drama was hilarious but what really left an impression on me was the sermon
although short but deep :)

sometimes i suppose we all let our carnal nature take over in more than one ways
and we end up demanding from God miracles, answers about visions, etc.
but have you ever wondered why He did things the way He did?
the answer: maturity
lemme give you the same analogy pst tan used...
he said his daughter always asked him for ice cream
and in exchange for that ice cream, she would have to do her homework
of course this is the part most kids hated, haha i was one of em
doing homework -> good results -> success in education -> good job -> good pay
and with the good pay...yup you guessed it,
you can eat ice cream everyday if you wanted
heck, no one will stop you even if you ate one each hour
its the same way with us and God,
we always want something immediate, NOW!!
try looking at things from His perspective,
all the trials He put us through is to mould our character and help mature us
as the bible says, God never lets a trial go to waste
what we want might not be for the best of our interest but hey, He knows best right? :)
its gonna be tough but patience is the key
thats something i'm gonna have to work on too XD

i just got back from watching the taking of pelham 123 with kok and shen
and i still have work tomorrow!!!

i'm gonna fall sick one day
the movie was quite interesting though surprisingly full of vulgarities and with an ending a bit too abrupt

speaking of work, lots of people have been asking me why did i take this warehouse assisstant job
alright just to clear all these...misunderstandings
sure its tough and the pay's a little low
but i dont detest the job and i also wont say i like the job too
both are too extreme words to use
i take it more as an experience, to see what one does in this kinda job
so that in the future,i can choose the job i want more easily :)
of course, being the motorhead that i am...my dream job would be a racer
anyway, back to what i was saying
the job is actually quite enjoyable because of my colleagues
they come from all walks of life before they got this job and not to mention they are pretty funny XD
my supervisor can shout from one end of the warehouse to another of his old kaki not to play around in hokkien and the other guy will shout back something funny
btw, my supervisor is a malay XD
i know whacha thinking...i dunno how he mastered mandarin and hokkien so fluently even sometimes i converse with him in hokkien as well
everyday there's laughter goin around and thats something i dont think you will find in most work places
so yeah...thats all i have for you

i'm trying to fight it but i just cant help it

lots been happening this week and even more next week
sharon and elis left for HK yesterday morning,
saw them off at the airport along with elis's family and bf..turned out to be quite sentimental haha
i hope they are getting used to the environment there
and although its only like 2 days...i'm starting to miss her XD
angela and i did a card for her,
and i dunno how it got passed around until it ended up in someone else's hands instead of hers XD

this what i drew before angela took it home to colour and decorate it

unfortunately,didnt get a picture of the card when it was done
i must say we did a pretty good job and thank goodness sharon liked it
i was afraid she might find it too..kiddy XD
hui mien was asking me to draw her a calvin and hobbes card when it came her birthday haha
it wouldnt have been a problem in the past but now my drawing skills are not as good so we will see XD

celebrity weekend was great!!
although i'm not exactly a mandarin pop fan, it was quite an exciting two hours there in church with some of the big names like FIR, vaness wu, liu geng hong...
reminded me of new year's eve in taiwan when all the famous singers came out to perform at the parade square near the taipei 101 building :)
back then it was so crowded i couldnt even see my own feet!
and when the crowd was jumping to a song,you'd better jump along or risk getting knocked over by those crazy fans XD
after dinner, cindy was talking to me about um...a certain something
but it certainly did knock some sense into that thick skull of mine
what she said was very true and
i really thank God for giving me such a wonderful sister who always shared her thoughts and disciples me so patiently :)

anyway,today i went to mandai in the early evening to pay my dad a visit at the coloumbarium
after that i was on my way home when i decided to stop at the nearby reservoir to watch the sunset
must say it was a beautiful view :)
lots of couples were cuddling around the bench area so i figured it was better to view from the car :P

speaking of cars, a friend was asking me how did i pass the tp (traffic police for those who have no clue) test
and well...there was really nothing to say except to keep practicing
at least that was what i did, there was
even so,after passing the test i forgot most of the stuff that i learnt
i just look at the rear and side mirrors only and dont bother checking the blind spots anymore
i assured him he will prolly learn more bad habits than good ones when he starts driving on his own
what do i mean? some examples...
1)driving with one hand on the steering (guilty XD)

2)taking off your shoes or whatever you are wearing on your feet (not guilty)

3)the occasional cursing and swearing when a car suddenly stops in front to pick up or alight passengers (guilty)

4)exclaiming "confirm sure woman driver!" when the driver in front is hesitant in changing lanes or have problems parking (guilty, sorry to all those female drivers out there haha XD)

5)and of course who can forget the ever favourite: speeding (guilty)

shucks, 4 outta 5
i'm definitely not the kinda driver the government will want to use when promoting safe driving XD
