Taiwan Here I Come (part 2)

ya know this picture reminds me of chris for some reason
maybe cause she's a foodie XD
anyway, today's entry will be more on pictures of food i got yesterday
the whole group of us went somewhere called 淡 水
its something like the harbourfront of s'pore and there's a whole lotta food stalls there
can't imagine?
think around 4 km full of food and game stalls
but the food types were kinda repetitive

oh and there's also the milk tea which is quite cheap like NT$30 and the size is like about one and a half times those in s'pore
funny thing is the milk tea tastes bland but its the pearls that is sweet >.< believe it or not, this is their train station
the trains are something like our mrt but they travel much much faster
from one end of taipei to the other in just 45 mins!!

one of the scenic spots, the mountain area is called ba li island or something like that

remember i said there were many game stores right?
there were arcades also but the games are not like those in s'pore
here are some pictures of 'em

joanna and li jiong playing some scoring basketball games

it was like only SGD$0.50 per game!!
they were like spamming that game until they got tired

look what I found!! I took this specially for Josh

there were many other games to do with pokemon I think
lets move on...
quite a cute picture of three pups
and it was in the arcade!

from what i see, dogs can like go anywhere in taiwan except eateries, restaurants, etc.

lets see, what did we do next?...

oh yeah, there was a famous tall ice cream in the area
we found it!!

its not like the type of ice creams you find in s'pore where its creamy and soft
this one's more like just frozen syrup without all those coagulating agents, so it melts rather fast
dont get what i mean?
melts uber fast!!
i think its abt SGD$1
we were like forcing ourselves to eat it after a while cause it was like putting pure ice into your mouth

after that we tried our luck at another game stall,
the air gun shop, seems quite famous in the area
using pellet guns to shoot at balloons
most of the shops were using either desert eagle or glock model look-alikes

mummy look!!! guns!! bad bad people
there are semi automatics also
not too sure what model rifles these are...
all five of us scored like 95 points and so we redeemed a couple of....prizes
i stole the next pic from joanna's blog..so sorry joanna!!!
low and behold...
i tell you we looked like fools walking down the streets with those big balloons
but its cute XD

if you think thats the end,hehe...
after that, we went to the fisherman's wharf to see the sunset
one of the famous landmarks there is the picture below
this is called 情 人 橋
aww...
the wind is also shiok to the max!!
its a pretty romantic place ya know
here are some views from the bridge,
nice place huh?
i think i can consider this place if i'm gonna propose to a gal in the future HAHA

oh and there were lots of artists there
if you're wondering what i'm talking about
yup,you aint seeing things
got a picture of me drawn
but my hair looks a little messy in the picture
argh, musta been the wind!!!
okok now for the sunset pictures

alright i think i'll stop here for now
i've got a runny nose, sore throat and to top it off, a fever also
i think its because of the change in weather

if you're wondering why i've got so much time to explore taiwan...
truth is the prof in charge of us took leave until wed cause he had to hospitalized for some medical reasons
i'll be updating more pics tomorrow, see you guys around!!
