Friday...
it seemed like the day to look forward to every week
to see my beloved W331
but didnt get to see any of 'em online for the past 3 weeks
Oh well, they must have their reasons...

my lab always seem to be full of "activities"
a rat ran past joanna's foot today
seems it is a sorta...PR in the lab XD
PR as in permanent resident
predictably for a gal,
she freaked out and jumped outta her seat
i was doing my best to control myself from bursting out laughter
sorry joanna XD
its not like the rat didnt ran past my foot
after all, my seat is just next to hers
i was surprised at first but i just continued doing my work seconds later
the seniors said they were trying to catch the rat for a few months...if not years already
so i couldnt be bothered anyway
quite frankly, i'm alright with it runnin around as long as it doesnt bite me XD

this week's been uber bad bad BAD!!!!
getting screwed over 3 times in a row, would you get disappointed?
heck, i'd be pretty surprised if you don't
the presentation today didnt went as well as i hoped it would
in fact, its the worst so far
if this keeps up.....i don't even wanna think about it
i tried my best but i still can't get what that "guy" wants
at least, thank God for brothers like Adrian around
although it was just a simple meal between the two of us out at 士大夜市，
i felt...relieved after that

first of all, so sorry for not updating for so uber long
life has been pretty normal and repetitive on the weekdays so there's really nothing much to say except the weekend
cant exactly remember what was the order of the outings...blargh, does it matter? XD

not exactly what i had in mind of a tourist mountain spot but its a pretty quiet and serene place
good spot to clear out your mind too
ya know might consider retiring to a place like this later....much later in life
but i guess not exactly this mountain XD

according to adrian and mk who came here before, the water seemed bluishly murky and lots of sediment had accumulated there
as for the bigger waterfall, i didnt take any photos cause...well, shit happens XD

like snake soup...stuff like that
we didnt eat that if you wondering,aint cheap
we settled for teppanyaki instead
the boss's a pretty friendly guy
he was goin to japan this week, sponsered by his daughter who's an air stewardess
not bad right?
i havent even been to the land of the rising sun, i'm a poor guy XD
yup there's all to it about our outing during the weekend

recently, i've been quite hooked up to the LOL language
christina and sarah will vouch for that cause it seems i've been driving them crazy with the words i use XD
i think its pretty creative and who knows? i might incorporate em into my blog postings *bwahahahaha*

if you're wondering,its smelly alright and yes, i ate it...after much persuasion from the rest
it wasnt so bad, really...there was no trace of the smell after eating it
still, i try my best not to touch them if possible XD

anyway, since elyn wanted to see more photos of my everyday life
here it isthis is my table at the lab,well..not much of a table but at least something to get started
those papers lyin around my laptop are yesh, reports and journals
and those pile of books on the right, i had to read finish half of em last month...crazy life, dont you think?

today me started doin experiments finally!!!
there was a lot to learn but thankfully my senior's a patient guy

uber many samples of er...whatever it is XD

like every chemistry lab, there will be some hazardous materials involved
for mine, chemicals and more chemicals!!
ya know the usual, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, ammonia and yada yada
turns out they are quite concentrated
99% ethanol too

tadaa!!! acid cocktail anyone?

these chemicals are not really strong to the point where you see smoke when it drops onto the ground
but strong enough to create a new hole on your body
who knows? i might not just come back with holes in my shirts and jeans
but prolly holes in my hands as well XD

the contents of this bottle is the main culprit for making surface tension lab students notoriously well known for the holes in their shirts and pants
behold!! 100% HCl solution.
this one has fumes when it drops onto the ground
well, it can melt even glass and some metals

so whaddya think of my working place?
pretty nice place to get holes all over and get your limbs dissolved huh XD
this is just the lab for preparing chemicals, there's another one for doin experiments which i'll try to get some photos for you guys

honestly, till now i still cant get used to the taiwanese mandarin here
mixing chemicals to form a solution is called 配药
sheesh...i know i know
my mandarin was cui from the start
prolly with the way i was brought up at home speaking in english and hokkien
even a friend said my hokkien had an ang moh accent
what in....

for all of you who were wondering, hahaha XD
i was joking about being lonely in the previous post
yea my buddies do have to talk their gfs
but i'll find things to occupy myself XD

today we went to a town called 九份
actually on a mountain, something like genting highlands
but the journey up and down takes a whooping one and a half hours each
then we went to another 夜市
er...but i forgot the name already
rumoured to be the biggest in taipei or taiwan
but it was raining so we came back early anywayXD
i'll post about the photos and things we did anudda time
cause i need the photos from our good friend, sarge seow

for those of you crazy guitarists and rock lovers,
i've taken quite a liking to dragonforce's new single; heroes of our time
like all their songs, their lyrics sometimes dont make sense at all XD
its the solos and shredding that i fall in love with each time i listen to it
you'd be surprised at how fast their fingers move after seeing it on youtube XD
if you've played their song through the fire and flames on guitar hero 3 expert mode,
you will get what i mean,
my fingers almost dropped off trying to keep up with the notes XD
i could only get 100% on easy mode and that's only 3 different notes!

oh, i forgot to post this in the previous post
me's memory is seriously deteriorating
i'm getting old XD
anyway, there's both good news and bad news
hahaha,the good news first...
finally given the green light to start doing experiments in the lab!!!!
now life's not so boring with reading papers and reports everyday
for the bad news,i've got two
first up, presentations every week are still on
and the prof wants us to read the reports at a much faster pace
second, according to my seniors,
my shirts and jeans are gonna be full of holes when i start doing the lab work :(
why? try guessing the reason and i'll tell you if your guess is right XD
i'll betcha (not including those in the taiwan oiap) you will never guess the reason

P.S. Sitong: yesh, webcaming with you guys on friday is on the top of my priority list every week when it comes to the weekend
