Always Somewhere

first of all, a happy 2008th birthday to my Lord!! wonder how does it feel to be 2000 over years old :P
i admit the picture i chose had something to do with....healing XD

the past week has been quite a busy week for me so i didnt really have any time to blog and i apologize :)
anyway, it has been quite a fruitful one despite all the workload
sent many sms-es out on christmas back to singapore and i'm glad that many of them replied even though it was expensive :D (no worries if you didnt reply :P)
oh yeah, if you didnt know
apparently taiwan doesnt have any public holidays for christmas
so it was like any other usual day for me; cooped up in the lab for 10 over hours on christmas day
but hey, at least God granted me success for my project :P
big thank you to the W331-ians whom sent me a package from the tiny island!!!
surprised and touched i was
loved the presents and card too :)

then not to mention the long grandmother story email to sarah last friday
i coulda sworn that was the longest email i typed in my life but i'm glad i did anyway
talked about many many things we didnt have the chance to talk about
and that silly girl wants to take me on a shopping spree for clothes!!! XD
i hope you do mean it sarah XD
those of you who know me well enough can tell that i've never been much of a shopper (probably that is the reason why i still get lost in the orchard area at times :P),
ESPECIALLY for clothing and accessories
i get the feeling i'll be carrying more of the things she will buy rather than those bought by me ( if any XD)
but i'm sure it will be fun and i do very much look forward to that day hahahahaha

and an email to you as well
didnt expect your reply to be that long
but it really did cheer me up after such a long day
i'm just feeling happy knowing that everything is alright :)

well enough talking and here the pictures from our journey to 日夜潭
direct translation's in ang moh is called sun moon lake
somewhere in the middle of the taiwanese island close to tai zhong
so here we are after a five hour bus ride...
a view from the hotel's lobby

more pictures of the jetty...

check out our hotel room or rather what li jiong and adrian calls our VIP room...

my bad, wasnt paying attention to the camera...admiring the scenery XD
oh thats patrina by the way, li jiong's gf
came all the way to taiwan to spend her holidays with him (aww :P)

more views from our room...

floating garden le
then we decided to take a boat ride around the lake so here are more pictures..

waiting at the lobby and queuing up for the coffee like typical singaporeans XD
on the boat and ready to go
argh there are many others and this is getting uber tiring (or maybe i'm just plain lazy :P)
i'll post the rest on fb some time later this week

anyway it sounds funny...
but i still find myself having that "bobbing up and down" feeling ( the type that when you go for boat rides) when i stand still or sit down after the return bus ride since yesterday till this afternoon =/
sheesh, it does gets kinda dizzy
josh, now i know how you feel about long bus rides back to m'sia XD

well its back to work again but at least its only a three day work week hahaha :P
even better, no presentation this week!!!!!!

seeing everyone pushing to be part of the cg really makes me wonder about how i'll integrate into this new family when i get back
i admit i had my fears about...many things, and i still do
it has never been easy for me to change some things on such a short notice
but seeing the four of them pushing so hard outta their comfort zone motivates me to do the same as well :)
at least i've taken the first step to know my cgl although online only :(

miss you where i've been

I Wont Last A Day Without You

this post is specially dedicated to the newly-wed couple,
just wanna say a big CONGRATS to Elyn & Shaun on their holy matrimony!!!!!!! :)
again, i'm super duper mega ultra sorry for not being able to be there
but i'm sure it was superb and flawless XD
God bless the both of you
and lemme come up with some mandarin phrases to express my wishes
er hem...
(forgive me if the words are a little off, my mandarin's still somewhat poor)

恭嘉新婚,
祝你们夫妻俩,
白头偕老,
百年好合,
(and last but not least, how can i forget XD)
早生贵子,
龙凤呈祥

they say a woman looks her prettiest when she's in her wedding dress
and her husband will be looking like a knight in shining armour riding on a white horse
(i suppose instead of a horse, its more of a merc or rolls royce now XD)
cant wait to see the photos, please post em up if you have it!!! :)

can you guess who sang the song for the title of this post?
i think some of my friends will be shocked if they found me listening to such music *evil laughter*

its one of the oldest tracks in my music library with the exception of elvis presley's "are you lonesome tonight?" and chubby checker's "limbo rock"
i know i know, these are literally antiques XD
but i really do find the song a meaningful one :P
sometimes being away from your comfort zone and all may not be such a bad thing
i've really learnt to treasure certain things after....all that has happened
things which i took for granted when i had em,
things i dearly wanted,
things i thought will always be there so i took my own time
sadly, losing some of them in the process of "learning the hard way"
but God gives and takes away
i'll still praise my heavenly father no matter
this trip has definitely changed me...for the better of course :P

P.S: elyn
a promise's a promise, leave a day free for me when i'm back :P

i can take all the madness the world has to give but i wont last a day without you :)

Stained Glass Masquerade

today is not a holiday!!!
for those of you who are enjoying hari raya back in sg, lucky you!
and there's also no holiday for christmas although they do celebrate it :(

the past week's been getting a little cold
and worst still, it rained today...which means the temperature's goin lower tomorrow!!!
at least its still within the double digit range XD
for those of you who are completely clueless, the temperature's around 10-16 degrees most of the time now
once in a while it will go up to between 18-20
i'll probably end up wearing 3-4 layers of t-shirts come january where it will be in the single digit range XD

seeing all the photos of chris, sam chew, sarah and jh on ouyang's facebook really made me miss you guys
ugh, i really feels so super duper mega ultra bad to miss chris's birthday and upcoming elyn's wedding
not to mention miss celebrating with them christmas, new year and CNY
i miss them so much i even think about them i fall asleep and at times, dream about em too
*sigh* it was really a bad time to get out of sg aint it? :(
please please do take more photos and send me !!!

=/ must not be emo, stay positive sam!!

last weekend we went to the taipei IT fair near the taipei 101 tower
it was something like sg's one but we didnt buy anything from it anyway
it wasnt exactly cheap and some of them were even more expensive than those in sg
then after dinner we went to the marketplace supermarket
and finally....combing so many parts of taipei's supermarkets,i finally found my detergent!!!!
er....ok i know it sounds weird to those who dunno what am i talking about
but i can only use one type of detergent to make the giant bubble....or at least for playing safe XD
then something really weird happened...
all of us automatically walked over to the alcohol section
although we arent much of drinkers (with the exception of mk )
our good friend mk almost ended up buying a barcadi and baileys
but anyway we ended up buying more beer and storing it up in our cabinet for er...soon

it was probably due to the friday night before we ended up drinking when it got a little cold
adrian, li jiong and i went to family mart to get some beer (mk was out er....doin something)
and the rest of them woulda told you my face looked really like a tomato after a big can of taiwan beer
but i was still sober,honest :P
then they argued which drunk person will say they are drunk?
hahahahhahaha we even tried the sg traffic police alcohol test in our dorm XD
must have sounded like a buncha crazy people in the rooms beside us with the way we laughed
for those of you drivers who still havent kena stopped at those routine checkpoints yet
sometimes when they havent got the breath analyser
you gotta walk in a straight line with one leg in front of the other,
something like an improvised cat walk to see if you can balance yourself
....and i failed, not once but twice! XD
but we all thought there was a chance that test had to do more with balance rather than alcohol
which means i dont have balance =.=
anyway i completely dont touch alcohol when i drive so nothing to worry about :)
well, thats about it

selamat hari raya untuk mereka meraikan ia
(pardon me if its a little off, malay's kinda rusty now XD)

when i take a look around, everybody seems so strong and i know they will soon discover that i dont belong

P.S: happy belated 19th birthday to chris!!!! :)
